My Top MFW Shows PART2

Hello again!
So as I mentioned in my previous post, Montreal Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 was absolutely fabulous this year! I had a great time and the designers were beyond talented. My second favorite show of the season was the "Annie 50" show. If you've previously read my posts, you know that I love feminine and flowy pieces. I consider my personal style to be classic and feminine with a slightly boho edge (body conscious isen't happening over here any time soon!). I thought the pieces in this collection were beautiful and are definitely things that I can see so many women having in their closet. The whole show definitely made me think of the musical South Pacific! It had such a fun choreography and represented the  retro-looking collection very well. Hair and makeup was beautiful as well; I loved the retro poufs and big curls on some of the models' hair.

Do you spot an Ottawa model here...because I do!
The lovely Rose from Angie's Models and Talent!

Top 5 Shows of Montreal Fashion Week PART1

Hey everyone!
So I recently attended Montreal Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2013 collections and oh my god was it ever amazing. I had so much fun and I honestly think the event was so great down to the last detail! Stay tuned for my other posts on the event for more details on what went down and to find out what the other shows in my top 5 are!

Here is my #1 show out of my top 5 shows from the week:

1. DUY

Check out this little video of the show:

The DUY Spring/Summer 2013 collection was absolutely breathtaking. It was my favorite show that I attended during fashion week and I am definitely looking forward to DUY's future shows. The designer is a graduate from my fashion school actually and I think he is so talented. The pieces in the collection were mostly all very flowy; which I love for Spring and Summer. It really was the kind of stuff I would wear. Very feminine details and beautiful colors such as aqua blue and red were used throughout the collection. Neutrals were very present as well which helped make all the clothing look more sophisticated and chic. The makeup as well as the hair on the girls was stunning. I loved the big bouffant hair. I loved the show! It was so girly and fun.

Check out the DUY website for more info! www.duycollection.com
Stay tuned for my next posts to find out what other shows made it in my top 5!
