Great Fashion, Great Gatsby

With the grand premier of Baz Luhrmann's long-awaited The Great Gatsby just over a week away, I feel that it is appropriate to acknowledge the great revival of 1920s-inspired fashion that it has sparked. I may have thought the jazz-age fad was just that: a fad, but to my pleasant surprise the twenties are still roaring down the runways. Long, layered strands of pearls paired with drop-waist frocks, geometric patterns, flirtatious headpieces, and art deco inspired jewels have once again become the go-to look for a night on the town.

Check out the looks below for some ideas.

Enjoy!

ITG and Isabelle Bellis show you how to wash your face!

Washing your face...
seems simple right?
wrong!
It is a common misconception that washing your face isen't all that important and that the method you use doesn't really matter.
Into the Gloss recently created a two part video series with New York City facialist Isabelle Bellis who, to be perfectly honest, is a total skincare genius.
I invite you to check out the amazingly helpful videos and learn a little more about how to properly take care of your skin. You have to take care of your skin if you really want it to keep looking great when you're older. It starts with the proper products and application.

Enjoy the videos!

Foundation to Innovation: Canterbury Fashion Show

Graphic Design: Eva Young

Fave Magazine is proud to announce themselves as the official media sponsor of the upcoming fashion show, Foundation to Innovation, produced by the Canterbury Arts Program.

As all of you have been perusing the latest issues of Fave Magazine, you may have noticed posters promoting this event.

What is Foundation to Innovation about, you may ask?

The Canterbury High School Visual Arts Program produces an annual fashion show with the purpose of showcasing student design and modelling talent. All the profits go towards the Arts Program Funds, which purchases art supplies for students for the coming years.

For this years' theme, students were asked to consider the evolution of fashion - starting with the foundation of classic garment design, and then looking at how design has evolved with modernity and innovation.
Thus, the show is devided into two portions: first showcasing classically inspired designs, then innovative modern designs.

Graphic Design: Eva Young
Models: Percy Miller & Tyrin Kelly

During the intermission, guests are invited to purchase baked goods, Bridgehead coffee, and products from our various vendors, all while enjoying the sound of the student band The Tall Trees.

Come on out and support the Canterbury High School Arts Program, and enjoy a night of fashion, food, and music.

April 12th and 13th 2013, 7pm-9pm
