Retail-ready and consumer-friendly, architecturally trained
designer Rachel Sin produced a collection of sweet feminine clothing perfect
for the sunny days of summer. With a neutral colour palette of beiges and
blacks, and with pops of coral pink, these looks are right on trend and are
sure to be a big hit.

Inspired by Grace Kelly, Jeff Garner’s
collection was dazzling and romantic. Feminine frocks and corseted gowns graced
the runway in laces, satins and chiffons. Soft pastel hues were detailed with
delicate subtlety, and models donned elegant updos. The breathtaking couture,
the charming music, and the theatrics of the show evoked a romantic spirit, and
successfully produced a collection that had the grace of a princess.

Designer Sunny Fong, Ryerson arts graduate and
Project Runway Canada winner, was the star of the season. His collection was
reminiscent of a 1980s party and was set to a soundtrack that was thematically
perfect. Provocative harnessed bodices, broad shoulders, Madonna-esque cone
bras, and pieces in leather and chiffon graced the runway. The graphic colour
palette included black, white, and blood red, and finished with a deep
eggplant-purple dress. Models also donned T-strap heels and Lennon-sunglasses,
completing the innovative and current collection.
